President Of County Education Association

William
H. Bowman, Jr., 58, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at a local
hospital.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bowman was a retired
teacher from Hamilton County School System and also served as President of the
Hamilton County Education Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H., Sr. and Virginia Barger
Bowman.
He is survived by one brother, Steven D. Bowman (Connie), a nephew, Matthew P.
Bowman, several cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, in the North Chapel of
Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the
North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes
Association or to the Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, 5401
Hwy 153, Hixson, TN 37343.

William H. Bowman Jr., 58, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at a
local hospital.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Chattanooga
High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mr. Bowman was a
retired teacher from Hamilton County School System and also served as president
of the Hamilton County Education Association.
He was officer of election at the North Chattanooga polling site.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Sr. and Virginia Barger
Bowman.
Survivors include one brother, Steven D. (Connie) Bowman; a nephew, Matthew P.
Bowman; along with several cousins and many friends.
