Rodrick Mitts

Rodrick V. �Roddy� Mitts, 55, of the Rivermont area, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003.

Roddy was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a 1966 graduate of Chattanooga High School. He won the Southeast Regional Golf Tournament in his senior year and attended Athens Junior College. Roddy was retired from Rivermont Golf and Country Club, a family-owned business, and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Russell Mitts; and grandparents, Homer J. Mitts and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wilson.

Roddy is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Mitts Cypres, Knoxville, and Hollie Mitts, Chattanooga; mother, Emily Mitts, Chattanooga; brother, Byron Mitts, Chattanooga; sister, Priscilla Dietterich, Chattanooga; three nieces; two nephews; one great-niece.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. and the Honorable Sam Payne officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jack Vann, Adam Mitts, Brandon Walcott, Byron Mitts, David Wilson, Larry Dietterich Sr. and Larry Dietterich Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Rivermont Golf and Country Club.

The family will receive friends from 4�8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
